La norme EN13792 : 2002 spécifié la codage de couleurs et la nomenclature des liquides, gaz et vide utilisé dans le robinetterie et vannes de laboratoire. La norme prévoit trois zones de couleurs de identification: manette, anneau et pastille intérieur pour la caractérisation respective de famille, subfamille et fluide. Dans la zone 3, la pastille intérieure, doivent être déposées les abréviations des fluides utilisées selon le tableau reconnu de la International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
